Brief:
We first met the client in autumn 2020, a year after they had moved into the house. They had big plans for developing and extending the house, before moving on to landscaping the garden.Fast forward four years and the project was ready for the landscape design stage and then in spring 2025 works were able to be started.
Project:
Working alongside the main contractor for the house build we balanced the access needs of their window and kitchen contractors and our schedule of works.
The client wanted a large porcelain paved entertaining area with a covered seating space for those warm, sunny summer days. The garden needed to be all on a single level, with utilising their existing artificial grass to give the children an all-year round play space.
To give privacy, and tidy the look of the existing boundary fence which was all at different levels, we added modern landscape trellis to the fence to even out the level changes, continuing the look behind the covered arbour.
To complete the garden contemporary white flowering shrubs and perennial help to soften the paving and fencing, drawing the eye around the garden.
This garden is a contemporary take on the family garden, creating space for children to play and for adults to relax and entertain.
